Well hasn't it been a while since I was last here. November 7th was my last visit by my records...nearly a year now.

I have to say, from what I see nothing has improved and the bad things have gotten worse. Typical...nope, I'm not in the least bit impressed. Especially as I type things, ads keep on refreshing and moving the cursor out of my textbox. And holy hell there are volumes of them...never seen so many ads. Or design bugs. Jeebus CROIST.

Didn't really come here to whine though. Since people have been wondering...here's updates on where I'm at. I haven't disappeared from the planet, just from this madhouse.

Updates

1) CAR.

The ride has been overhauled and is still running strong. Yes, my baby Shale is still my pride and joy - my first-born son - and has a few battle-scars to prove his worth.

You all know I've been through a clutch...next one might be on its way out soon too. I'm hard on those things :3 New gearbox is on the way too; it's a DCCD 6MT. For those that don't know, that's a 6-speed manual (fairly short ratio...accelaration ftw) with Driver Controlled Centre Differential...allows me to change the power distribution between front and rear at the flick of a scrollwheel. Along with this is new suspension (from Whiteline), new struts (in the form of coilovers - most likely Teins), new drivetrain (need new axles, new rear diff and new propshaft for the gearbox). Another major part is Brembo brakes - I've got the calipers, I need to get new rotors and hubs...probably new pads too, lol.

It's all rather expensive.

From there's a new engine, completely custom-built with a completely unique design. Yep, serious tuner now...we're looking at doubling the stock horsepower and getting into race car spec. Will be fully street-legal and a daily driver, at just under 300hp NA.

Not like you couldn't tell...I'm finally mechanically minded. Lol.

Oh yes...and there's racing going on now too. Shale goes to grasskhanas, track days, drag days, on club cruises, and will be getting dyno'd in a month or so.

There are a few friends for Shale on the way too...

- "Blackie", JDM version 9 STi (black) [and a definite addition]
- "Project Buntamobile", GC8-era Impreza Retna with some SERIOUS overhaulin' in its future [another definite]
- Black version 5 STi Type R [possible addition...droolworthy one too]
- Blue GDB STi Spec C, homologated for NZRC (yes, bonefied NZRC rally competition car) [hopeful addition]
- White 3rd gen Legacy B4 (leather option, auto, turbo) [possible addition, would be a good runabout/cruiser]

Yes, I have delusions of grandeur.

2) JOB.

Moved on - I'm now working for a trucking magazine (OF ALL THINGS! LMAO. At least it's the best in NZ)...graphic designer on the T&D team. Also looking at getting my own freelancing done...you'll see a website up soon, followed by my new personal website (with new art HOMFG). Yes...she still exists.

I've been a magazine designer for more than two years now...looks like this is what we're doing eh :/

3) ART.

Lots of vector. Lots of Initial D. Yeah that's my new fandom of choice...no bullshit like Tekken. Btw people have asked me (yes, the retards STILL ASK ME) if I'm into Tekken 5, or looking forward to Tekken 6. The answer is simple.

NO.

NO NO NO NO NO.

FAIL. NO. BAD. DONT WANT. YOUR DOIN IT RONG. DONT MAEK ME FIRE MA LAZOR.

Not interested. Tekken ended at 4 for me, so unless you want a string of verbal abuse...don't go there okay?

*cough* Anyway. Initial D it is. Bit of Project D stuff in the works...but mostly cars.

Expect to see a grand total of 1 new submission from me. It's a special little something that I hold close to my heart, and simply had to recreate in vector form.

4) IRL.

Now, how to say this...

Since I left DA I got a reality check, cashed it and landed myself a local boy with a car nearly identical to mine. Enough with the fantasy boys...enough with the geeky girl's existance, wired into the internet through the veins with not a clue what a real boy was like...I finally got a taste first-hand.

We're still together nearly a year on, and though we rip into each other like starved wolves at times, we're still going strong. This is where I learned most of my car shit...this is where I learned to get my hands dirty. My feisty little redhead has forced me into the real world and man am I enjoying it I highly advise friends in similar situations to do the same...give the fantasy world a break, because real life is fun.

5) Contacting me...

I still exist. I still do art. I don't bite (unless you rant about Jin Kazama or new Tekken characters...in which case my teeth are sharpened and ready to rip your fscking face off).
